Job Summary
Conduct nursing assessments to identify client needs, administer medications, and monitor activities for mental health clients. Provide continuity of care by documenting progress, reviewing case dispositions, and consulting with psychiatrists regarding medical status changes. Facilitate care plans within the Red Rock Health Team while educating clients on medication side effects. Perform physical assessments, collect laboratory specimens, and manage inventory of locked medications under supervision. Requires Oklahoma RN licensure, shift work capability, and experience with psychotropic medications.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Oklahoma
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in use of physical assessment skills and the ability to handle medical emergencies
- Must be able to work shift-work
Desired Qualifications
- One year experience preferred
- Knowledge and experience working with administration of psychotropic medications, preferred
- Knowledge of psychiatric nursing, practices, techniques and procedures, preferred
- Experience working in a psychiatric setting, preferred
- Certification in mental health nursing a plus
