Job Summary
Assist the Clinical Nurse Manager in daily renal unit operations, delivering holistic, patient-centred care to renal patients while planning, implementing, and evaluating safe haemodialysis treatments. Initiate and monitor dialysis sessions by observing equipment readings and patient responses, collaborating closely with medical and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes. Maintain up-to-date certifications in BLS, manual handling, hand hygiene, and fire safety, demonstrating competency in IV drug administration and completing the mandatory Renal Induction Programme. Required Qualifications
- Level 8 Nursing Qualification
- NMBI Registration and ongoing annual retention
- Completion of staff induction programme at the start of employment
- Hold a valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification at all times
- Hold a valid Manual Handling certification at all times
- Demonstrate up-to-date training in Hand Hygiene and Standard Precautions
- Be competent in IV drug administration in accordance with hospital policy and professional guidelines
- Complete mandatory Fire Safety Training and maintain compliance
- Successfully complete the Renal Induction Programme and demonstrate full knowledge of its requirements upon completion
- Demonstrate the ability to attain and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the renal dialysis process
- Show commitment to ongoing competency development relevant to the renal care setting
Desired Qualifications
- Post Graduate qualification in Renal Medicine
- Previous dialysis experience
- Additional experience in any of the following areas: ICU, Cardiac, Emergency Department (ED), Oncology
