Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care in the Recovery Room, performing assessments, administering medications per the five Rights, and documenting physical, mental, and emotional status changes. Coordinate and supervise nursing care by delegating tasks while maintaining accountability for delegated actions. Promote patient safety by assessing risks, initiating interventions, and conducting bedside shift reports and rounds with peers. Deliver patient-centered care through cultural respect, active listening, and teaching patients or families about their condition and treatment plans. Adhere to hospital policies, accreditation standards, and the American Nurses Association scope of practice. Work Monday through Friday with 2 night call shifts monthly, every other weekend, and shared holiday calls. Requires an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing and a current Connecticut license.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with an Associates Level Degree
- Current and unobstructed Connecticut Registered Nurse License (CT Hospitals)
- ACLS
- RN
- BLS
