Job Summary
Registered Nurse position overseeing medical, psychiatric, substance-use and nursing care for individuals served; acts as clinical liaison until enrollment at other community facilities. Responsibilities include coordinating services with public/private health, mental health and social service agencies; assisting with service planning, conducting assessments and treatment plans; providing individual and family counseling; developing educational curricula; supervising nursing care such as diabetes and blood pressure monitoring; responding to crisis calls; coordinating external medical/nursing support like pharmacy and laboratories; administering medications per protocol; ensuring compliance with regulations and policies; collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve outcomes; and performing other related duties. Requires RN license, BSN preferred, and at least 1 year in behavioral health. Shift is nights (7:00pm–7:30am), full-time, based in Crisis - NC Durham.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse
- Valid and current state-specific Nursing license (Compact licensure preferred)
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a behavioral health setting
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
- Travel required based on business need
- Must be able to pass credentialing process
- Must be able to pass background checks and screenings as applicable
