Job Summary
Registered Nurse Rapid Response role performing direct patient care within the RN scope, focusing on nursing process/outcomes for diverse medical/surgical patients. Responsibilities include interpreting health data, developing nursing diagnoses and care plans, delivering individualized, goal-directed care, providing patient and family education, coordinating care across licensed and unlicensed staff, advocating for patient safety, and leading in accordance with ANA standards and organizational mission. Requires BSN, minimum 3 years of critical care in an acute care hospital (5 years preferred), Texas RN or compact license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS (OB ACLS) certifications; NSICU experience and CCN/ SCRN certifications encouraged within specified timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing
- BSN required
- Minimum of 3 years critical care experience in acute care hospital required, 5 years critical care experience preferred
- NSICU experience preferred
- Critical Care National Certification required within 6 months of hire. SCRN within one year of hire
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license
- Current AHA or ARC BLS provider
- Current AHA or ARC ACLS provider
- Current AHA or ARC PALS provider
- OB ACLS certified
