Job Summary
Complete the nursing process, collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, and perform treatment procedures to promote and restore patient health. Develop and document individualized care plans, maintain effective communication regarding patient status and progress, and demonstrate proficient use of the Electronic Health Record for accurate documentation. Adhere to required department and system protocols, regulations, and education requirements while providing physical, educational, and emotional support to patients, friends, and families. Work in a fast-paced environment with rotating weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
- BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)
- AS: Nursing
- Minimum 6 months RN experience
- AAS in Nursing
- Ability to lift 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- Ability to lift 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently
- Ability to lift greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly
- Frequent walking
- Frequent standing
- Frequent squatting
- Minimum 1 year RN experience
- BS in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year experience in the specialty hired into
- Expanded leadership role (charge, preceptor, mentor)
- Critical thinking skills
