Job Summary
Registered Nurse Pulmonary Stepdown at Mission Hospital coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in the progressive-care setting. The RN conducts pre-operative and post-operative nursing care in collaboration with medical providers, documents care in the patient record, administers prescribed medications, monitors responses, and maintains knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients. Requires BSN (or enrollment and plan to obtain BSN within 5 years), current NC BON (or applicable eNLC) licensure, BLS and ACLS, and at least one year of nursing experience. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or enrollment in BSN program with intention to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire date
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON) or eNLC license applicable
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification
- ACLS certification
- One year nursing experience
- Masters in Nursing (preferred)
