Job Summary
Manage post-thoracic surgery patients following lobectomy, pneumonectomy, VATS, and chest wall surgeries through close collaboration with the thoracic surgery team and pulmonary interventionalists. Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients with acute and chronic pulmonary conditions, including lung cancer. Monitor and manage chest tubes, pleural drains, and post-operative complications while assessing and responding to respiratory compromise using oxygen therapy, high-flow devices, and non-invasive ventilation. Full-time night shift required with BLS and RN licensure. Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition 'Compact State' obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Required professional licensure at time of hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
