Registered Nurse - Pulmonary

Provides direct nursing care in the Pulmonary department in coordination with established policy and procedures. Serves as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, notes and carries out physician and nursing orders, and monitors, records, and communicates patient condition. Coordinates discharge planning with patient/family and healthcare team; assesses learning needs and provides education based on age, culture, and willingness to learn. Exercises critical thinking under general supervision, applying advanced skills within the area of specialization, and adheres to the Nurse Practice Act. Education and licensure requirements include an Associate's degree or higher (or Diploma) upon hire with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing expected within 5 years; RN licensure in Kentucky and BLS certification within 45 days of employment.
