Job Summary
Provide patient-centered RN care in Pulmonary Medical-Surgical. Responsibilities include assessing the patient’s condition on admission and each shift, performing procedures and documentation as ordered, administering prescribed medications and monitoring therapeutic responses, and responding to patient needs. Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring understanding by translating medical terminology. Collaborate with medical providers and care teams to deliver comprehensive, compassionate care following established nursing models (Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage).
Required Qualifications
- One year of RN experience
- Associate degree in nursing (ADN)
- Current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing
- BLS Healthcare Provider
- eNLC license may apply; licensee should confirm with NCBON
