Job Summary
The Registered Nurse - PT is responsible for conducting pre-admission evaluations, developing discharge plans, and creating treatment plans in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team. Key responsibilities include administering medications, maintaining medical records, following up with pharmacy orders, and providing training on nursing techniques. The role requires communicating effectively with individuals and families about health care and safety, and working with medical services to integrate treatment plans. Applicants must have a valid license from NYS and possess experience with the IDD population.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed by NYS Dept. of Education
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Desired Qualifications
- First Aid certification
- CPR certification
- Experience in OPWDD settings or with IDD population
Additional Requirements
- Must work on-call duty and varied shifts as needed
