Job Summary
Provide patient care and manage intake and discharge processes for Wound Care Center patients as scheduled. Perform initial nursing assessments, document care plans, and communicate findings with physicians. Serve as a Case Manager to assigned patients, including evaluating wound stages and identifying intervention needs. Assist in the vein clinic after training and perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy duties upon completion of required training. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide education to patients or caregivers. Collaborate with healthcare providers and the Medical Director regarding clinic needs. This role supports Healogics' mission to treat over 300,000 chronic wound patients annually across 600 sites.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Demonstrated competency in BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Demonstrated organization, prioritization and time-management skills
- Basic knowledge of regulatory/accrediting requirements for healthcare organizations
- Strong interpersonal, listening, as well as oral and written communication skills
- Ability to translate complex technical terms in laymen's terms
- Customer service skills and follow-up skills
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
- Teaching skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to work on multiple tasks at the same time
- Ability to work with others and in a team environment
- Ability to stay calm in all situations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of computerized nursing systems
- Physical ability to be in a stationary position for extended periods of time (4 hours or more)

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Medical Surgical, Home Health or Wound Care Certification preferred
- Wound care experience preferred
