Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care and make care decisions appropriate for patient age and condition using the nursing process. Collaborate with health care professionals to meet patient needs while adhering to CVMC policies, the North Carolina State Nurse Practice Act, and departmental bylaws. Maintain current NC RN licensure and BCLS certification, obtaining ACLS, PALS, or Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification within three months depending on practice area. Work full-time night shifts from 7p-7a.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited nursing program
- Current NC RN license or licensure from Nursing Compact State
- BCLS certification
- AHA certification (if BCLS is not from AHA)
- ACLS certification
- NRP certification
- PALS certification
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification
- Chemotherapy certification via ONS/ONCC Chemo/Immunotherapy Certificate Course
- Quality Indicator credentialing
- ONS Radiation Oncology Certificate Program
- Six months of cardiac monitoring experience (Heart and Vascular Services)
- Prior work experience in requested practice area (All other units)
Desired Qualifications
- BSN
- Specialty course work
- Certification in area of practice
- Six months of cardiac monitoring experience (Critical Care Unit and PACU)
