Job Summary
Deliver compassionate, high-acuity psychiatric care to adults and patients in crisis across inpatient and emergency settings while performing ongoing mental status and safety assessments. Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and collaborate with physicians, behavioral health providers, and social services to serve as a clinical resource and advocate. Float and cross-train across the 23-bed Behavioral Health Unit, 12-bed 4A Unit, and emergency psychiatric pods as needed. Provide safe, age-appropriate, evidence-based nursing care for adults, adolescents, and children managing depression, schizophrenia, mood disorders, and substance use disorders.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent
- RN Diploma with relevant experience accepted
- Active Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license
- American Heart Association CPR Certification
- Working knowledge of psychiatric nursing theory and practice
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
