Job Summary
Provide safe, age-appropriate, evidence-based nursing care to psychiatric patients across a 23-bed inpatient unit, 12-bed unit, and emergency psychiatric pods. Perform ongoing mental status and safety assessments, administer medications, and monitor patient responses. Collaborate with physicians, behavioral health providers, and social services to serve as a clinical resource and advocate for patients and families. Float and cross-train across inpatient and emergency psychiatric areas as needed. Night shift coverage from 7:00pm to 7:30am with weekend commitment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent
- RN Diploma with relevant experience accepted
- Active Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license
- American Heart Association CPR Certification
- Working knowledge of psychiatric nursing theory and practice
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Full-time w/Weekend Commitment
- Night shift - 7:00pm-7:3am
