Registered Nurse- Progressive Care Unit (Rogers)

Job Summary
Conduct patient assessments and reassessments every 2 to 4 hours for adults requiring higher-level surveillance in the Progressive Care Unit. Manage a broad scope of medical needs including dysrhythmias, hemodynamic instability, and respiratory distress while coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients, uphold patient rights and confidentiality, and ensure all duties align with Mercy's mission and Service Standards. This role involves caring for patients from neuro to cardiac to GI systems with a cross-sample census. Unit-specific certifications such as ACLS, NIHSS, and ASLS are required or completed within 90 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (associate's degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Experienced nurses
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- PHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses)
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization) Six Assessment & Care Modules
- C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
