Job Summary
Registered Nurse – Progressive Care responsible for managing patient care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient outcomes; directs and guides nursing care, patient education, and related activities; collaborates with other disciplines; requires NY RN licensure, nursing degree from accredited program, BLS or ACLS with certification progress, and completion of cardiac rhythm and stepdown education courses; relocation and signing incentives offered; located in Burlington, VT with focused area in Champlain Valley; structured preceptorships and continuing education emphasized; strong emphasis on patient safety, staffing ratios, and professional governance.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current NY RN licensure
- BLS or ACLS with ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
- physical/pre-placement screening
- cardiac rhythm course within 3-6 months
- stepdown education course within 6-12 months
- training/competency in age-appropriate patient care
