Job Summary
Coordinate care across the continuum by planning and implementing clinical protocols, monitoring outcomes, and serving as an expert resource for specialty areas. Partner with nursing leaders to develop care policies, provide managerial oversight for program personnel, and act as a consultant for stakeholders. Evaluate program effectiveness, maintain process improvement programs, and monitor patient perception of care quality. This role offers flexible scheduling with options for five 8-hour or four 10-hour shifts. Located at the new Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, the position supports a close-knit team of surgeons and orthopedic nurses.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
- Demonstrated expertise in disease specific care
- Proven applicable nursing experience over several years
- Demonstrated experience with quality management programs including registry data collection
- Proficient in computer skills, including creating graphs, tables, and trend reports
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills, data organization, management, and analysis skills
- Demonstrated experience in educational program development
- Can choose between Five - 8hr Shifts or Four - 10hr Shifts
Desired Qualifications
- 3-5 Years Ortho or Neuro Surgery Circulating Experience in a Level I or II hospital setting
- At least one year RN coordinator or Charge RN experience
- Current specialty certification(s) as appropriate for unit or service
