Job Summary
Coordinate care across the continuum by planning clinical protocols, implementing practice management guidelines, and monitoring outcomes in orthopedic operating rooms. Serve as an expert resource for clinical practice while partnering with nursing leaders to develop and review care policies and procedures. Provide managerial oversight for program personnel, assist in strategic and budgetary planning, and act as a consultant for various stakeholders. Evaluate program effectiveness, maintain process improvement programs, and monitor patient experience efforts to ensure quality care. Work within a new department at Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, with flexible shifts ranging from five eight-hour to four ten-hour days.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
- Demonstrated expertise in disease specific care
- Proven applicable nursing experience over several years
- Demonstrated experience with quality management programs including registry data collection
- Proficient in computer skills, including creating graphs, tables, and trend reports
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills, data organization, management, and analysis skills
- Demonstrated experience in educational program development
- Can choose between Five - 8hr Shifts or Four - 10hr Shifts
Desired Qualifications
- 3-5 Years Ortho or Neuro Surgery Circulating Experience in a Level I or II hospital setting
- At least one year RN coordinator or Charge RN experience
- Current specialty certification(s) as appropriate for unit or service
