Job Summary
Coordinate care across the continuum by planning and implementing clinical protocols and practice management guidelines for orthopedic surgery. Monitor clinical outcomes and quality of care while serving as an expert resource for specialty areas. Develop and review care policies with nursing leaders, manage program budgets, and oversee process improvement initiatives. Provide managerial oversight for program personnel and act as a liaison for various stakeholders. This role is based at the Brand-New Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, with the opportunity to work alongside a close-knit team of surgeons and OR professionals.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
- Demonstrated expertise in disease specific care
- Proven applicable nursing experience over several years
- Demonstrated experience with quality management programs including registry data collection
- Proficient in computer skills, including creating graphs, tables, and trend reports
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills, data organization, management, and analysis skills
- Demonstrated experience in educational program development
- Can choose between Five - 8hr Shifts or Four - 10hr Shifts
Desired Qualifications
- 3-5 Years Ortho or Neuro Surgery Circulating Experience in a Level I or II hospital setting
- At least one year RN coordinator or Charge RN experience
- Current specialty certification(s) as appropriate for unit or service
