Job Summary
Conduct wound assessments, develop treatment plans, apply advanced therapies, and educate patients to promote healing and prevent complications for acute and chronic wounds in inpatient and outpatient settings. Maintain professional accountability for patient care, coordinate with other departments, and ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards while utilizing the nursing process. No holidays or weekends; schedule is as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (associate's degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Wound Care experience preferred but not required
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Wound Care certifications preferred but not required
