Job Summary
Assess, treat, and educate patients with acute and chronic wounds in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Provide specialized wound care by performing wound assessments, developing treatment plans, and applying advanced therapies to promote healing and prevent complications. Coordinate patient care with other departments while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. This PRN role at Mercy Hospital Jefferson requires a current RN license and Basic Life Support certification, with wound care experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (associate's degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
