Job Summary
Registered Nurse for PRN role at Southeast Orthopedic Specialists’ Spine Center. Provides professional nursing care in the clinic, administers medications and treatments per standards, assists physicians during treatment and procedures, prepares exam rooms, observes and reports patient conditions, educates patients and families about procedures and medications, coordinates pre-operative and post-operative care, supports staffing and clinic operations, monitors IV sedation in patients, ensures narcotic inventory control, and collaborates with surgeons, schedulers, and back office staff to optimize patient flow and care quality. Requires RN (BSN preferred) with at least one year of nursing experience and strong interpersonal/communication skills. Normal clinic environment with some travel within the community.
Required Qualifications
- RN degree
- BSN preferred
- Minimum one-year professional nursing experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of pain management protocols
- Knowledge of infection control and patient confidentiality
- Ability to train/mentor staff
- Ability to supervise clinic staff
- Ability to manage patient flow and front/back office coordination
