Job Summary
Assess, instruct, and prepare patients prior to surgery; ensure operative and informed consents are signed; initiate IVs and inform patients about the procedure; maintain asepsis and infection control; monitor vital signs and readiness for discharge; administer medications per MD orders; evaluate for anesthesia/surgery complications; participate in family teaching; maintain confidentiality and accurate EHR data; collaborate with medical staff and participate in training; create a safe therapeutic environment and follow facility rules; other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Must be licensed in the State as an Registered Nurse
- Must have current BLS/ACLS certification.
- Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing
