Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability for assigned patients in the PACU. Coordinate patient care with other departments while evaluating the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers. Ensure patient rights and confidentiality of patient information are upheld in all interactions. Maintain duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards and mission values. This PRN position requires a current RN license, BLS certification, and potentially ACLS/ALS or other unit-specific certifications. Candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs, stand, and walk for prolonged periods. Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department-required timeframe: ACLS/ALS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses), OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse), BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), PEARS (Pediatric Asses...
