Registered Nurse (PRN - Labor & Delivery Experience)

Job Summary
Conduct head-to-toe assessments and reassessments for neonate, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients while responding quickly to changes in condition. Perform assigned laboratory and point-of-care tests, interpret results, and develop nursing plans of care involving patients and families. Coordinate and delegate daily patient care, assist physicians with procedures, and administer medications following rights standards. Operate specialized medical equipment safely, anticipate patient needs, and advocate for the patient as a liaison to the interdisciplinary team. Maintain accurate electronic medical record documentation, participate in problem-solving for clinical care, and orient new employees to the Med/Surg/OB Department.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Currently Registered Nurse license with the State of Idaho
- Current BLS certification
- Working experience in labor and delivery
- Ability to use sound judgement and cope with potentially stressful situations
- Availability to work weekends, rotating holidays, and equally share in on-call coverage, as needed
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Knowledge of medical terminology
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS certified upon hire, preferred
- PALS certified upon hire, preferred
- NRP, preferred
- Fetal Heart Monitoring recommended
