Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) I is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the ICU setting. Key responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, collaborating with healthcare teams, and performing vital nursing skills such as medication administration and monitoring invasive lines. The position requires an Associate’s degree in Nursing and a current state nursing license. Additional qualifications include BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. The RN I may assume on-call responsibilities and participate in patient and family education and discharge planning.
Required Qualifications
- Current state license as a Registered Nurse
- Listed in good standing with the state’s Department of Professional Credentialing
- Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
- Up to one year of work-related experience or equivalent education and training
Desired Qualifications
- Current certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Ability to administer emergency medications
- Experience in critical care nursing
