Registered Nurse - PRN

Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to patients by contacting practitioners for orders and administering prescribed medications and treatments. Perform emergency first aid, check vital signs, triage intake screenings, and record diagnostic test data. Collaborate on medical services, maintain aseptic techniques, and provide patient education on facility policies and discharge planning. Document care accurately, report treatment reactions and condition changes, and notify supervisors of medical or security incidents. Oversee delegated duties, participate in in-service education, and recommend procedural improvements. May cover shifts at multiple correctional facilities, act as a back-up to the Site Manager, or train new hires. Requires an active nursing license, BLS certification, and knowledge of the RN scope of practice.
