Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. Manage admissions and discharges, review day case load with Med nurses, verify completion of skilled documentation, notify medical staff about issues, complete inspections, assist in emergency support, document incidents, and manage pharmacy deliveries. The position requires managing staffing during evening shifts and a commitment to work every other weekend and some holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse
- CPR Certified
- One year of long-term care experience preferred
- Experience in Med-Surg or Home Health helpful
- Experience working with the elderly, handicapped, or developmentally disabled adults preferred
