Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) for PrimeCare Medical, Inc. to work part time with available Full-time Evening/Night shifts at the Charles County Detention Center in La Plata, MD. Provide comprehensive nursing care under supervision of Medical Director or mid-level practitioner per established protocols. Responsibilities include disseminating inmate/patient information to appropriate personnel, health counseling, conducting sick calls, provisional diagnoses and treatment as defined by protocol, immunizations and tuberculin testing, basic/advanced first aid and CPR, performing 12-lead ECGs, assembling results for provider interpretation, maintaining medical records, administering medications per orders, and daily shift assessments with documentation. Requires on-boarding orientation with on-the-job shadowing, and benefits/extensions such as overtime, shift/weekend differentials, holiday pay, sign-on and referral bonuses. Must be licensed as a Maryland RN and possess strong multitasking and patient-assessment skills for a fast-paced correctional healthcare environment.
