Job Summary
Deliver safe patient care on the Medical/Surgical Unit by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatments for patients recovering from surgery, managing acute or chronic illnesses, and undergoing diagnostic procedures. Direct patient and family teaching while guiding activities of other nursing personnel to maintain care standards. Communicate with physicians regarding changes in clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring results and diagnostic study outcomes, responding quickly to patient status changes. Provide direct care within the scope of practice for assigned patients.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
Desired Qualifications
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred
- Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred
- Ventilator Management experience preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
