Job Summary
Conduct independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions including health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Evaluate health status by collecting and analyzing subjective and objective data to prioritize patient needs and create care plans. Administer medications, including intravenous therapy, while ensuring patient safety through infection prevention, fall prevention, and consistent use of medication checks. Triage patients in person or via telephone, conduct follow-up calls, and provide health teaching and counseling. Manage patient populations, coordinate care between services, and advocate for members by building productive relationships and resolving problems quickly. Comply with all quality, safety, and emergency policies; report hazards and accidents promptly. Requires minimum one year of RN experience, Colorado RN license, and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Graduate of board approved RN program
- Completed a minimum of 750 clock hours of faculty planned clinical experience
- Guided learning activities which required direct supervision by faculty, associate nursing instructional personnel (ANIP) or preceptor who is physically present or immediately accessible
- High School Diploma OR General Education Diploma (GED)
- Registered Nurse License (Colorado)
- Basic Life Support within 3 months of hire
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Customer focus abilities
- The ability to understand Kaiser Permanente customer needs
