Job Summary
Coordinate and administer medical and nursing care to patients using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs. Administer medications, IVs, and treatments safely while demonstrating competency with specific clinical skills and patient equipment. Collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve positive patient outcomes, promptly respond to call lights, and manage life-threatening emergencies. Maintain clean patient rooms and work areas, organize nursing care activities within assigned shifts, and participate in quality assurance standards. Assist in orienting new staff and student clinical rotations. Requires an Associate degree in Nursing, current BLS/CPR certification, and Wisconsin or Illinois RN licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing
- Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
- Licensure to be eligible to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin and/or Illinois based on job location assignment
- The ability to read, write, speak, hear and comprehend the English language
- The physical, technical and cognitive ability as well as the manual dexterity, to use patient care equipment
