Job Summary
Registered Nurse-Prep & Recovery for Northwestern Medicine, part-time rotating shifts in Lake Forest, IL. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, care coordination, documenting outcomes and plans of care, discharge planning and referrals, patient/family education using teach-back, adherence to ethical standards, and involvement in quality/improvement initiatives. Requires nursing licensure in Illinois, BSN (or ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within three years), BLS, strong communication and collaboration skills, and ability to work within the NM nursing professional practice framework while supporting culture vision and evidence-based practice. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse
- Basic Life Support

- Strong analytic abilities
- Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN from an accredited program within three years of first day of employment in clinical nurse role.
- Preferred: National Certification in area of specialty
