Job Summary
Critical Care Transport Nurse (RN) responsible for providing Basic and Advanced Life Support during high-risk ambulance transports. Works with EMTs to ensure patient care, monitoring, IV-infused medications, and ventilator support. Must maintain and obtain certifications including BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or PEPP) with one of TNCC, ATCN, or PHTLS within 6 months of hire. Requires minimum two years of full-time ICU/ED experience or two years as a CCTRN with a CCT provider in the prior three years. California RN licensure (unrestricted) required. Required Qualifications
- California State Registered Nurse (unrestricted licensure)
- AHA BLS
- AHA ACLS
- AHA PALS
- TNCC or ATCN or PHTLS (within 6 months of hire)
- trauma-related certifications desirable: CEN, CCRN, CTRN, MICN, NRP
- Two years of experience in a critical care environment (ER or ICU) in a large tertiary care facility
- Current ACLS/PALS/BLS and ability to obtain NIH Stroke Scale within 90 days of hire
- Must meet Riverside County EMS Policy No. 6401: Inter-facility Transfer
