Job Summary
Provide patient care using the nursing process for assigned patients at the Pre-Op/PACU unit, maintaining professional accountability and coordinating care with other departments. Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, including pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, along with prolonged standing and walking. Maintain a current RN license and Basic Life Support certification. No weekends, holidays, or call required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
