Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients while maintaining professional accountability and evaluating the effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments and maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Perform duties consistent with Mercy mission, values, and Service Standards. Requires current RN license, Basic Life Support certification, and ability to lift 50 pounds, stand, and walk for prolonged shifts. No weekends, holidays, or call.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
