Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients at the Pre-Op/PACU unit while maintaining professional accountability and coordinating care with other departments. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers and uphold patient rights and confidentiality. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, including pushing, pulling, and lifting 50 pounds regularly, along with prolonged standing and walking. Maintain a current RN license and obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire. Work a schedule with no weekends, holidays, or call. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods each shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
