Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients in the Pre-Op/PACU setting while maintaining professional accountability. Coordinate patient care with other departments and evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information consistent with Mercy Service Standards. This role requires pushing, pulling, and lifting 50 pounds regularly, along with prolonged standing and walking each shift. Candidates must possess Basic Life Support certification or complete the course within 30 days of hire. The position offers no weekends, holidays, or call, with a preference for Pre-Op/PACU experience. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods each shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
