Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability for assigned patients. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality. This role requires pushing, pulling, and lifting 50 pounds regularly, along with prolonged standing and walking each shift. Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods each shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
