Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate patient care with other departments while evaluating the overall effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Push, pull, and lift 50 pounds regularly; stand and walk for prolonged periods during shifts. Perform duties requiring grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat. Obtain and maintain a current RN license within the hiring state or via compact licensure. Complete Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or within 30 days of hire. No weekends, holidays, or call; pre-op/PACU experience preferred. Join a collaborative team where your voice matters.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods each shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
