Job Summary
The Registered Nurse supports pre-op, PACU, and stepdown patient care at an ambulatory surgery center, assessing patients, delivering individualized nursing care, monitoring recovery, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures and optimal outcomes. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating perioperative patient care; monitoring patient status and responding to changes during recovery; accurate documentation and effective communication with team members and patients; maintaining sterile environments and adhering to safety protocols; and providing patient education and post-op instructions. Requires graduation from an accredited RN program, current RN license, 1+ year Pre-op/PACU nursing experience, and BLS (ACLS within 6 months).
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Current RN license (unencumbered)
- At least 1 year of Pre-op/PACU nursing experience (within last 3–5 years)
- Current BLS (ACLS required within 6 months)
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
