Job Summary
Registered Nurse in Pre Assessment (Bank) delivering direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and clinical protocols; assess patient needs, prioritise care, and update care plans; monitor vital signs and escalate changes using clinical judgement; administer medications per hospital policies and NMC Code; maintain accurate nursing documentation; ensure compliance with NMC standards, clinical governance, and hospital policies; identify and report incidents and safeguarding concerns; roles performed on an “as and when required” basis to supplement staffing during busy periods and staff absences.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration
- Demonstrable experience in a clinical healthcare setting
- Good understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and evidence-based practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
- Proficient in IT systems used for patient records, documentation, and care planning
- Minimum 2 years post graduate experience
- Desirable: experience in relevant specialty (surgical, medical, outpatient, orthopaedics, critical care)
