Job Summary
Manage individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care through assessment, planning, and implementation of treatments for patients on the Med Surg Pratt 3 unit. Administer medications, perform reconciliations, and document narcotic withdrawals and discrepancies per policy. Develop and update prioritized plans of care, conduct admissions assessments within eight hours, and reassess patient comfort and disease-specific needs. Ensure patient safety by verifying identities, following hand hygiene guidelines, and responding to hospital codes. Communicate daily plans via whiteboard, facilitate discharges by noon, and represent patient and family interests while addressing ethical concerns. Utilize electronic health records and Lotus Notes for documentation and training.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Emergency Response Training Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Previous Acute Care RN experience
- 36 hours/week
- 7pm-7:30am including rotating weekends and holidays
