Job Summary
Provide daily care, health needs, safety, and comfort for residents through professional assessments, documentation, and management of assigned nursing units. Participate in developing and implementing resident care plans, maintaining up-to-date MDS records, and making recommendations for revisions. Conduct daily and periodic visits to monitor physical and mental conditions, perform routine nursing procedures in coordination with physicians and families, and offer emotional support to residents and their families. Handle resident complaints, allegations, accidents, and incidents while ensuring accurate medical record documentation, including 24-hour and end-of-shift reports, narcotic counts, and medication destruction logs. Work 32 hours for 40-hour pay with a $4 shift differential.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Valid RN license in good standing according to State and Federal requirements
- Thorough understanding of the principles of safe effective nursing practices within the State of Florida
- Basic Computer knowledge and skills
- Knowledge on the use of personal computers, Word and Excel, and working with office machines such as fax and copying machines
