Job Summary
Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered postpartum care in accordance with clinical protocols and physician orders. Conduct thorough patient assessments, administer prescribed medications, and monitor for side effects while documenting findings accurately. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans, assist with labor and delivery procedures, and provide education on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn health. Respond to medical emergencies, participate in code team activities, and interpret fetal heart rate patterns to ensure patient and family safety. Implement infection control protocols and perform other duties as assigned. Full-time 3x12 schedule (7p-7a) with night shift differential.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting
- Strong knowledge of the nursing process and clinical nursing practices
- Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively
- Proficient in administering medications and monitoring for side effects
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting patient care
- Knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
- BCLS - Basic Life Support

- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation
