Job Summary
Deliver direct and indirect nursing care for assigned patients in postpartum and pediatrics settings while supervising assigned personnel. Manage patient interactions through spoken communication and manual dexterity skills, ensuring compliance with departmental procedures. Requires a Bachelor's in Nursing, one year of acute care experience, and Virginia or Compact State licensure. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Nursing
- One year of Nursing/Patient Care in an acute care setting
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions
- Compact State Licensure in Nursing
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- NRP certification
- De-escalation training
- Knowledge of both department and hospital policies and procedures relevant to the delivery of nursing care
- Interpretive skills
- Frequent interactive and consultative associations
- Management and supervisory skills
- Ability to retrieve, communicate or otherwise present information in a written, auditory or visual fashion
