Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the physical, social, and psychological status of post-surgical patients using the nursing process and evidence-based practice. Direct the interdisciplinary care team through delegation and collaboration, while setting priorities to coordinate patient care delivery, manage resources, and ensure timely documentation. Collaboratively develop individualized care plans with patients, families, and physicians, including education and referrals for follow-up. Maintain legal and ethical standards by practicing within licensure scope and integrating regulatory requirements into daily care. Requires a current Registered Nurse license and BLS certification. BSN degree required as of April 27, 2025. Full-time schedule of 36 hours per week at St. Marys Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
- Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Degree will be verified
