Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for post-surgical patients using the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Direct the care team through delegation and coordination while setting priorities to manage time, supplies, and resources effectively. Provide accurate and timely documentation, maintain legal and ethical standards, and collaborate with physicians, families, and support staff to develop individualized care plans and ensure patient education. Requires current RN licensure, BLS certification, and strong manual dexterity for equipment manipulation and patient transfers. Located at St. Marys Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, with a 36-hour weekly schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice
- Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required as of the job description's last update on 4/27/2025
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date
