Job Summary
Coordinate, implement, and plan nursing care by performing comprehensive assessments, identifying problems, and modifying care plans based on patient response. Administer medications and solutions safely, handle patient transport, and document accurately and timely. Accept charge responsibilities, assign staff based on acuity, and facilitate staff development while maintaining a therapeutic environment. Work in adult medical-surgical, pediatric, critical care, oncology, or emergency units, requiring up to twelve hours of standing and independent function with equipment like Omnicell and telemetry.
Required Qualifications
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- Able to communicate in English verbally and legibly
- Able to stand/work for up to twelve hours a day
- Able to lift with assistance up to 250 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire
- AACN, CCRN or CCP certification within two years of hire
- ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year of hire
- At least one year of emergency experience preferred
- TNCC Preferred
- PALS within 6 months of hire
- ENPC or TNCC within 6 months of hire
- At least one year of pediatric in-hospital experience preferred
- At least one year of pediatric emergency experience preferred
